Saturday, July, 24, 2021 and August 21, 2021
The award-winning KASA Quartet of the Caroga Arts Collective played their stringed instruments under the Glove’s marquee and dazzled a crowd of spectators on this beautiful July morning. In August, resident artists of the CAC came back under The Glove’s marquee as bookends to their 2021 Summer tour.

The Vagina Monologues
Saturday, February 29, 2pm and 7pm
Seven local women participated in this showing of The Vagina Monologues. The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play originally written by Eve Ensler in 1996 and has since been revised. The episodes explore consensual and non-consensual sexual experiences, body image, reproduction, and more — all through the eyes of women of various ages, races, sexualities, and other differences. Since 1998, the Vagina Monologues have been performed all over the world and has raised over $100 million for groups working to end violence against women and girls through benefits of the Vagina Monologues.
Done without microphones, the crowd listened intently to hear the very real perspectives of women from all different backgrounds. Some parts of the play had you in shock, some in awe, and some in tears from laughter. All proceeds from this event were donated to the Family Counseling Center’s Domestic Violence Program.

The Whoopie Cushion: a Vaudeville Variety Show
Friday, February 14th, 2020 at 8PM
Love and laughter were in the air, whether you found yourself in VIP seating or in general admission; this Vaudeville Variety Show kept the crowd laughing and cheering the whole night. Beer and cocktails were served by Stump City Brewery and the smell of popcorn filled the theater as the night began. Magician Bill Bing kept the audience entertained while people filed in to find their seats at 7PM, an hour before the show. With jokes, dancing, singing, a hilarious monologue, and a final thrill act, each and every performer showed the audience a great time. To top it all off, proceeds from this event were split between the Glove Theatre to renovate and restore the theater, and to benefit the Elk Street Park in Gloversville. Thanks to Addictive Pain Tattoo for hosting the event!
